Hello, I am Amelia
I work as a project manager. I am a parent and an expat living in London, United Kingdom.
A few years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually opened a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to United Kingdom wasn't in our long-range plan. Like many expat moves, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The early months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, higher expectations. Everyday tasks felt more challenging than anticipated.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of learning on the job. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and started building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Fen Marok Ivsel
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to fill that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in United Kingdom.
